Watched thru 20 some episodes, storyline is good only as a template, but needs to be fleshed out, when I say flesh, I mean flesh as in we need to see far more flesh. Yeah, if they are c*mshy, then have Japanese do it for you. Its pretty pg-13 other than dialogue that could easily be another gender, i.e. most people wanna see more action. Prefer raunch since not much comedy

On that note, I noticed its very much heterosexual dynamics, breeder and all, characters merely happen to be homosexual. Gay people irl are not women with men's bodies, instead have their own distinct sociosexual dynamic which seems to be bulldozed, glossed over here -- plop in women into the film in place of gay males and nobody would know its even remotely same sex. Its clearly oriented at a female audience with traditional female upbringing, and not exhibiting actual gay male characters given male upbringing but having same sex desires. I find that a major fault in Chinese yaoi genre, there is nothing that actually caters to gay men and women, who are in fact, invisible. I.e. Chinese society or censors if you will -- expects gay people to not exist -- when "accepting of lgbtq", they mean -- choose a traditional female role or a traditional male role, but not be yourself without either such role. They expect a Jin Xing, born 1967, but that is clearly far far outdated for 2000 generation. Transgender is somewhat more accepted than gay, because they choose one traditional gender role, without vascillating -- if and only if they are monogamous.

Most yaoi / BL is like that, made for women by women. There's Bara which is targetted and made by & for men. I dont know if lesbians have a similar for/by as bara though. Japanese GL is either targetted to het dudes but usually with Korean and Chinese stuff made for women.
